PMO Planner - MS Project, P6

PMO Planner - MS Project, P6: A well known and highly successful defence company is currently looking for a Project Planner to work at their site in Bristol.

PMO Planner - MS Project, P6 Key responsibility areas:
Provide support to numerous international projects across multiple sites.
Work within an Integrated Project Team (IPT) and alongside clients to create, monitor and maintain high quality, detailed project schedules.
In addition, the role will allow for wider involvement within the Project Office activities, providing opportunity to expand knowledge base across the wider project portfolio within the division as well as wider activities conducted by the Project Office.

PMO Planner - MS Project, P6 requirements:
Confidently build and maintain robust professional relationships together with outstanding communication skills both written and oral
Demonstrate their ability to deliver within strict deadlines and to budget, whilst managing conflicting workloads and priorities
Demonstrate they are fully conversant with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, with the ability to construct a project WBS and develop the project schedule to be submitted for approval as the baseline.
Monitor and update the schedule in accordance with the contract and produce all relevant internal and external reports to substantiate project progress against time and budget.
Resource load and cost load the project plan for the intention of providing data to be submitted by the project manager, internally and externally.
Support the project manager and commercial manager with accurate data that can demonstrate the overall project performance. This will also require attendance at various internal & external (customer facing) project meetings.
Produce a critical path analysis and report any variations against it.
Work with the Procurement teams to integrate various supplier schedules into an overall master project programme.
Understand schedule interfaces and dependencies to produce various key milestones and / or Milestone Definition Sheets to be submitted for acceptance.
Interact with various groups of designers and management to ensure schedule compliance remains and is respected by all parties.
Attend project change meetings and support the commercial team for input into any instruction for quotation or implementation

Desirable Skills
Understanding of key project management principles gained through a combination of work experience and qualification (APMP / PRINCE2)
Competent with understanding a variety of contracting models including NEC 3
Ability to use standard tools such as VISIO, Sharepoint
Domain knowledge and experience in Construction, Integrated Automation Systems
Understanding and knowledge of key project financial principles
Understanding the importance of governance and projects compliance
Experience of using SAP
